ATS Logistics was founded in 1980 by Bo Wyenandt, who started the company with just a few trucks and a vision to provide high-quality logistics services throughout the Midwest. Over the years, ATS transitioned away from being an asset-based company to a truckload brokerage and third-party logistics company providing truck coordination to transport freight from point A to point B across the United States. In 2001, Bo’s son, Jim, took over with a goal to build upon on the legacy and success his father created. Jim took over as president and quickly expanded the ATS portfolio from solely offering full truckload transportation to include less-than-full truckloads, intermodal shipping, expedited, air, and ocean transportation solutions.
When it comes to growth, ATS has expanded at our own pace and with a purpose. Over the past decade, the company has averaged 20% year-over-year increases in profit; employee count has gone from 10 to over 60, and we recently moved our headquarters to Sharonville, into 17,000 square feet of modern office space that will be able to house well over 100 individuals. From our vantage point, every new obstacle that comes our way creates an opportunity for improvement, innovation and organizational restructuring.
